Here's what I've done so far... For the past eight years I have been consulting with school systems about the problem of bullying in a wide array of presentations in my home state of Ohio and in other states. I have worked with staffs at the elementary, middle school and high school levels in public and private systems to make them more aware of how bullying is defined and what to look for. I have presented to students from kindergarten to high school about what bullying is and when teasing behaviors cross the line, about how boys and girls bully differently, and things to do when they see someone bullied. I have also worked with college students who are doing their student teaching and to parents with children in grades k-12. I have also presented at Conferences of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) several times, the Assembly on Literature for Adolescents of NCTE (ALAN), Ohio Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts (OCTELA), Western Reserve Ohio Teachers of English (WROTE), Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA), and the Global Issues Resource Center (GIRC) of Cleveland Community College.
